Act and you become....

In the book Goals !!, author Brian Tracy spends a considerable time on how you behave determine what you become.
If you want to be rich, behave as if you are already rich.
If you want to be successful, act as if you are already successful. Meet with successful people, talk like you are already successful, think like successful, read what successful people read....
By acting the way you want to become, you signal your intentions to the subconscious. Society will see the way you act and they will give positive feedback that will make you successful.
Mr.Tracy, explains this with a powerful example of a manager at a car showroom. After he has carefully interviewed and then selected a new salesman, he would take the sales man to a Cadillac dealership and insist that he trade in his old car for a new Cadillac. Salesman would balk at the idea. He would be frightened of the cost of the car and the huge monthly payment involved. But the sales manager would insist that he by the Cadillac as a condition for employment.
What happens then?
First  the Sales man would drive the at home and his wife would almost have a heart attack when she saw that he had bought a new Cadillac. But after she had settled down, he would take her for a ride around the neighbourhood in the new car. The neighbours would see them driving in a new Cadillac as they drive past. He would park his car on the driveway. People would come and admire it. Gradually, imperceptibly, at a subconscious level, his attitude toward himself and his earning potential would begin to change.
Within a few days, he would begin to see himself as the kind of person who drove a Cadillac. He would see himself as a big money earner in his field, one of the top performers in his industry. And time after time, almost without fail, the salespeople in this organization became sales superstars. Their sales performance jumped and their earnings increased.
Soon the payments on the new Cadillac were of no concern because their incomes were much greater.
